Pomona 2007
We spent Friday in the Carquest Hospitality suite. What a great view. Son L.J. (Lil John) went down to the starting line for the fuel car session. I joined him later during the Alcohol qualifying. On Saturday we spectated from the 1,000 foot mark. Best day of qualifying we've ever seen.
On Friday morning I dropped off my Nitro Fume Collection Device that I won from Gilbertson's trivia contest for a refill. Met Berserko Bob in Person. What a great guy. That evening when I went to pick it up he gave L.J. an "almost perfect" aluminum rod as a souvenir. Saturday morning L.J. snagged a couple of "slightly used" Goodyears compliments of Ron Capps crew. On Saturday evening we went back to Gilby's camp and I got a picture with Berserko and Gilby. These guys are really cool. We also snapped a few pictures of some of the nostalgia cars on hand.
